Pre-Semester Scheduling Variance Form

DFCs Only

The Pre-Semester Variance Form (PSVF) may be used to request a variance from DFC scheduling for pre-planned events. In extenuating, unforeseen circumstances that may interfere with DFC schedules, learners should submit an exception request rather than a PSVF. Learners who will be absent for more than five (5) consecutive days in a semester must contact Schedule Support to discuss other options.

The PSVF allows a learner to request a maximum of five (5) consecutive days of variance per semester. After the PSVF is submitted, the scheduling team will give the learner consideration for DFC scheduling variance on the requested dates.

A learner’s pre-semester request does not guarantee variance approval. Variance approval is based on course requirements, site availability, and schedule availability.

Learners may submit only one PSVF per semester. The PSVF must be submitted at least forty-five (45) calendar days prior to the start of the semester. Any approved schedule variances only apply to DFC scheduling.
